Biography

Given birth to in Glasgow, Scotland, vocalist/songwriter, lyricist and maker Eric Woolfson is most beneficial referred to as the co-founder of Uk progressive rock clothing Alan Parsons Task. Woolfson relocated to London at age 18 to pursue a profession in music, 1st as a program pianist and finally as an effective songwriter, penning music for famous brands Marianne Faithfull and Peter Noone. A foray into designer management in the first ’70s launched Woolfson to engineer/record maker Alan Parsons, with whom he’d eventually get together with beneath the moniker the Alan Parsons Task. The music group released its debut recording, Tales of Secret and Creativity, in 1976 on Arista. The eight albums that adopted guaranteed the group a small number of notable strikes including “Period,” “Vision in the Sky,” “Don’t Solution Me,” and “Primary Time.” Once the band split in the past due ’80s, Woolfson switched his focus on musical theater, liberating Freudiana, a cooperation with English display business business owner Brian Bolly. He continuing writing musicals through the entire ’80s and ’90s, including Gaudi, Gambler, Edgar Allen Poe and Dance with Shadows. In ’09 2009, before losing his existence to malignancy, he released the recording Woolfson Sings the Alan Parsons Task That By no means Was.
