Upfront, pop-oriented R&B group Electrik Crimson are located in LA but involve 4 vocalists of varying backgrounds: Kyndra “Binkie” Reevey, from Harlem; Lesley Lewis, of Western world Indian descent, from Brooklyn; British-Canadian and Jamaican Naomi Allen, from Toronto; and fellow Torontonian Sarah Rosete, whose root base are Swedish, Filipino, and Russian. Ahead of their jump-start as documenting artists (they produced the group in 2005), the ladies worked jointly as dancers — three of these toured with Usher, and all had been in the video for Ciara’s “Such as a Guy.” Agreed upon to Def Jam, they debuted in past due 2008 using the raunchy “Drink in my own Cup,” an individual made by the-Dream. How exactly to Be a Female, Vol. 1, created and produced nearly entirely by Wish and partner Tricky Stewart, documented during a fast two-week period, premiered in-may 2009.
