Biography
Guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Duwayne Burnside is among 14 children given birth to to legendary North Mississippi musician R.L. Burnside and his wife, Alice. He is a regular performer using the North Mississippi Allstars because the early 1990s, when that group, fronted by Luther and Cody Dickinson, shaped. The youthful Burnside discovered his initial few acoustic guitar licks and chords from his dad, but proved an instant study and quickly started playing with regional golf club owner Junior Kimbrough as well as the Spirit Blues Boys. We were young in Holly Springs, he was near Memphis, so when quickly as he could reach Memphis, he do, and soon experienced the opportunity to sit along with Small Jimmy Ruler, Albert Ruler, B.B. In 1998, Duwayne journeyed to LA to record his 1st album, Live in the Mint, as Duwayne Burnside & the Mississippi Mafia. In 2001, he became a member of the North Mississippi Allstars on-stage for the very first time in Birmingham, Alabama, which resulted in incessant touring using the music group. In 2004, he opened up another version from the Burnside Blues Cafe in Holly Springs and created a new music group that fused spirit blues with hill nation blues. His albums under his personal name consist of Live in the Mint (1998) and UNDER GREAT PRESSURE (2005), both for B.C. Information.
