Doppelkopf

Called after a cards game, Doppelkopf are favorites in Germany’s underground rap scene despite their scant discography. Rappers Falk and Thyes experienced spent amount of time in the Hamburg rap group 6 Pac before breaking aside and developing Doppelkopf with DJ and soundman Bubbles. Their debut solitary made an appearance in 1997 when the Hong Kong Recordings label released “Vom Mond.” “Stability” landed 2 yrs later on and was adopted instantly by “Supa Stah,” popular single that captured the interest of EMI. The main label authorized Doppelkopf and released their debut recording, Von Abseits, in 1999. As the group didn’t officially split up, the bandmembers all started focusing on single careers immediately after the album’s launch.
