Dome

Dome was an experimental part task of Wire’s Bruce Gilbert and Graham Lewis, formed when their primary band continued hiatus through the initial half from the 1980s. Cable re-formed in 1985, but Lewis and Gilbert continuing sporadically documenting as Dome aswell as launching experimental single albums on Mute, with Gilbert documenting under his very own name and Lewis using the moniker He Said. 4AD released 8 Period, a compilation from the duo’s non-Dome function for the label, in 1988. Mute’s reissue sublabel The Gray Region brought the Dome catalog to Compact disc in 1992 using the discharge of two compilations, Dome 12 and Dome 34. A 5th Dome record, Yclept, comprising unreleased recordings dating dating back to 1983, made an appearance on WMO close to the end of 1999.
