Doc Anello

The daddy of jazz guitarist and Cexton Information founder John Anello, Jr. as well as the boy of jazz drummer Benny Anello, Doc Anello is really a veteran vocalist, arranger and saxman that has been leading big rings and small organizations because the 1940s. Doc Anello (who was simply nicknamed “Doc” because he includes a doctorate in jazz education) was raised in Northern NJ, where he fell deeply in love with jazz like a pre-teen and shaped his first music group, The Heaven Serenaders, when he was just 16. That music group took its name from a music group that his dad, a Sicilian immigrant, got led in Newark within the 1920s. Anello shaped a big music group at 19 and continued to play several East Coastline gigs in night clubs and hotels within the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s. Over time, he supported his talk about of big titles in jazz and pop, including Eartha Kitt, Slim Gaillard and Johnny Mathis. Anello shifted to California in 1968, and in 1975, he became supervisor of reservation for Disneyland. Though Anello (who converted 70 in 1997) got documented some singles in the 1950s, he didn’t in fact record any albums before 1990s-when he documented 1997’s It Simply Basic Swings!! (a large band day) and 1998’s Jumpin’ Jive for his son’s Cexton label.
