Diva may be the single task of Los Angeles’ Diva Dompe, formerly from the rings BlackBlack, which also featured her sister Lola and Phantom Planet’s Alex Greenwald, and Pocahaunted, which also included Ideal Coast’s Bethany Cosentino and Bobb Bruno. Dompe, also an associate from the L.A. Girls Choir, struck from her own this year 2010, launching her debut record, The Glitter End, on cassette past due that year. Blending Pocahaunted-like spacy atmospheres with details of gamelan, Afro-pop, and electro, the record drew acclaim and gained a wider discharge in 2011, showing up in the Important Levels imprint in August of this year. She implemented it with 2012’s Moon Moods, a far more eclectic established that included doo wop, chillwave, and goth-disco into her repertoire. Dompe also released led meditations on her behalf Bandcamp web page and via Departing Information. Her third pop record, Divinity in Thee, found its way to 2015 via Peanut Butter Wolf’s Group Star Information imprint.
