Produced in 1982 and located in Berlin, Germany, Perish Haut (which means “your skin” from German) originally contains Christoph Dreher, Remo Recreation area, Martin Peter, and Thomas Wylder. Essentially an instrumental work, Die Haut obtained attention insurance firms a revolving group of visitor vocalists, including one Nick Cave on four paths on the debut full-length, the 1983 launch Burnin’ the Snow. Other visitor vocalists on long term releases included Child Congo Forces, Anita Street, Debbie Harry, Mick Harvey, Jeffrey Lee Pierce, Blixa Bargeld, Lydia Lunch time, and Alan Vega. As the music group would proceed through many lineup adjustments over time, Die Haut focused around Christoph Dreher and Remo Recreation area for the better area of the ’80s. Recreation area remaining in 1985 to become changed by Rainer Lingk, who continued to be with the music group until 1997, the entire year where the last standard full-length offering through the music group, Spring, premiered. A remix assortment of the music from Planting season, titled Springer, adopted in 1998. Both Remo Recreation area and Christoph Dreher possess continued to operate, albeit as distinct acts, well in to the 21st century.
