Didier Marouani

Synthesizer-playing composer Didier Marouani may be the founding person in the French synth-pop band Space. He was classically qualified like a pianist in the Paris Conservatoire, but documented his first recording as a vocalist in 1975. Space was shaped by Marouani in 1977, after he made a decision to concentrate more on structure. The group’s biggest worldwide success came later on that year using the singles “Magic Take flight,” which strike the U.K.’s TOP and, to a smaller extent, “Keep on Switch Me On,” both which made an appearance on charts in several countries.
