Derek Smith

A jazz pianist noted for his versatility and elegance, Derek Smith was created August 17, 1931, in London, Britain. After taking on the piano in early child years, he started his professional profession at age simply 14, and by the first ’50s was a staple within the U.K. jazz picture, regularly carrying out with famous brands Kenny Graham, John Dankworth, and Kenny Baker. In the middle-’50s, Smith relocated to NEW YORK, where he became a program musician in very much demand by studio room orchestras and additional recording models; he also continuing going after his jazz dreams together with Benny Goodman and Connie Kay.
