NY City’s Demolition Hammer arrived within the East Coastline thrash metal picture circa 1986 and their 1st demo tape, Skull Fracturing Headache, began performing the rounds of indie record labeling and tape-trading enthusiasts alike immediately after. A second demonstration, entitled Necrology, came two years later on and proved sufficient to protected the group — composed of vocalist/bassist Steve Reynolds, guitarists Wayne Reilly and Derek Sykes, and drummer Vinny Daze — a documenting contract with Hundred years Media Information. There followed a set of flawlessly competent thrash albums in 1990’s Tortured Living and 1992’s Epidemic of Assault, but the design was already within the outs by that point, so Demolition Hammer attempted a far more current, Pantera-like loss of life metal strike on 1994’s Period Bomb. The last mentioned also noticed them decreased to a trio, following departure of Reilly and Daze, as well as the entrance of previous Malevolent Creation drummer Alex Marquez; but every one of the changes were eventually for naught, as the group finished up splitting up a year afterwards when Reynolds and Marquez had been offered brand-new gigs with Florida’s Solstice.
