Declaration of Dependence

Germany’s Declaration of Dependence, an extremely obscure mid-’90s metallic project, resulted from your merger of two previously rings — Paradox and Cronos Titan — and featured vocalist/guitarist Kai Passemann, bassist Klaus Lohmaier, and drummer Uwe Freitag. Their 1st album, Trinity, surfaced in 1994 and, along with successors Globe Within a global (1996) and Style Rebellion (1997), mixed components of traditional Teutonic melodic metallic with light-weight rap-metal influences inside a Trend Against the device style, successfully predating the nu-metal motion by a couple of years.
