Make it “Dave” instead of “David,” “Allan” instead of “Allen”; the “Ace” nickname that two Southern music artists distributed still causes a lot of dilemma. Getting both from the Dave “Ace” Allan animals together might lead to an interesting tempo section. That one performed bass for B.B. Ruler during among that blues great’s greatest intervals, the ’60s and ’70s. Allan’s performances on record are the well-loved Lucille opus. In the ’90s, a different David “Ace” Allen started playing drums using the Marshall Tucker Music group. That Southern rocker from SC is not exactly like the blues bassist from Mississippi.
