Datarock

Dressed in complementing red track matches, Norwegian tongue-in-cheek electronic-dance group Datarock were one of the groups labeled with the U.K. press simply because “brand-new rave.” Merging motivation from Devo, Speaking Heads, and Content Mondays, the band’s unstable performances including a variety of people dance or playing equipment. Originating from exactly the same Bergen picture as Röyksopp as well as the Kings of Comfort, Datarock produced in 2000 and included Fredrik Saroea (vocals, guitars, drums, keyboards), Ketil Mosnes (bass, coding, keyboards, support vocals), Tom Mæproperty (keyboards through 2003), and Kevin O’Brien (vocals through 2000). The very first Datarock release appeared being a divide EP with Stockhaus in 2001 over the label Informé, the initial electric outlet for Röyksopp, the Kings of Comfort, and Annie. In 2002 they released a limited-edition EP entitled Demo/Greatest Strikes on Kaptein Kaliber Information. This was implemented in 2003 with the Pc Camp Like EP. For the very first full record, Saroea and Mosnes produced their very own label, Teen Aspiring Specialists, and in 2005 released Datarock Datarock. The next year the record was reissued within the U.K., France, and Australia. In early 2007, Datarock inked a cope with Nettwerk, where they released 2009’s peppy Crimson.
