Darkest Era

Darkest Period certainly are a five-piece Celtic metallic music group shaped in Enniskillen, Region Fermanagh, North Ireland in 2005. The group’s music is definitely a rich mixture of traditional rock, black metallic, and Irish folk music with lyrics that consider inspiration in the common myths and legends of Irish folklore. The group’s design is similar to contemporaries like Primordial and Cruachan, though with a larger focus on melody in the design of Thin Lizzy and New Influx of British ROCK Rings like Iron Maiden. Originally known as Nemesis, the music group released its initial demo, also entitled Nemesis, in 2006, acquiring impact from traditional dual-guitar rock acts just like the aforementioned Thin Lizzy and Iron Maiden. The music group produced while still at college, the initial lineup comprising vocalist Dwayne “Krum” Maguire, guitarists Ade Mulgrew and Sarah Wieghell, bassist David Lindsay, and drummer Lisa Howe. In Apr of the next year, they fell the name Nemesis because of the large numbers of rings with similar brands, and instead followed the name Darkest Period being a nod towards the more and more bleak and introspective character of their music, which today included components of doom steel and black steel, aswell as incorporating the mournful designs and melancholic melodies that permeate traditional Irish music.
