Although for practically their whole career, these were just part-time entertainers, this couple duo became an extremely popular action in bluegrass music for over 4 years. Curly Dan (b. Densile Holcomb, 12 Sept 1923, Clay, Western world Virginia, USA) discovered electric guitar, mandolin and banjo and started playing and performing in local groupings in his teenagers. Wilma Ann (b Wilma Ann Decreases, 11 August 1924, Charleston, Western world Virginia, USA) wedded Curly Dan in 1942. In 1952, due to having less work in the Western world Virginia region, the few relocated to Detroit, where Curly Dan discovered function in the electric motor industry using the Chrysler Company. Eventually he proved helpful as an engineer in public areas institutions in Royal Oak, Michigan. They truly became involved with the neighborhood music picture and in 1955, with Wilma Ann playing bass, they produced their Danville Hill Boys, which for quite some time included Lester Flatt’s cousin Carmon Flatt.
