Crawford Wethington

An early on jazz saxophonist, Crawford Wethington’s most crucial musical organizations were with trumpeter Louis Armstrong, and a favorite dance band from the ’30s, the Mills Blue Rhythm Band (named following its innovator, impresario Irving Mills). Wethington discovered to try out in Chicago, their studies at the Chicago University of Music. He performed around Chicago in the ’20s with pianist Lottie E.
