Congregation

This British combined choir and accompanying orchestra was a one-shot studio creation of composers Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway. It had been fronted by veteran program vocalist Brian Keith (ex-Plastic Cent) who was simply perfect for ‘Softly Whispering I REALLY LIKE You’ which, hinged with an eminently hummable melody, visited #4 4 in the united kingdom graph, and was a 1972 Xmas hit. Too troublesome for concert trips, Congregation was laid to rest following the solitary’s television special offers but the music itself demonstrated sufficiently durable to become revived effectively by Paul Adolescent in 1989.
