Reedist and drummer Nakao Kanji, tuba participant Sekijima Takero and innovator and alto saxophonist Shinoda Masami were japan band Compostela. Dynamic through the early ’90s, this talented and smart group of music artists brought a fresh element to japan jazz and rock and roll worlds: chindon music.
