Complicated Shirt shaped in the first 2000s with guitarist Drew Benton, drummer Jonathan Pellerin, and bassist Keith Sonin. Wielding a smart, angular garage area punk sound much like Dinosaur Jr., the group released it is first full-length, Strigine, in 2004. Sonin remaining the band immediately after the recording arrived; he was changed by Jason Jette in 2005. Complicated Clothing documented their second launch, Compromising Compositions, the next year, as well as the recording premiered in 2007.
