A male/woman duo from LA comprising Statik and kaRIN, Collide chose their name to represent the collision of techno and industrial, breakbeats with samples, ambient and noise, in addition to the gothic vocals that influenced them. Collectively, they blend consumer electronics and guitars having a softer, ethereal hostility. While Statik experienced performed trumpet during college, the majority of his musical teaching originated from spending many weeks tinkering with samplers and computer systems. He also went to a music/executive school in LA that helped him property his initial studio work. Statik’s initial solo task was known as Statik: Devices, and was originally released on vinyl fabric in 1988. Once Statik and kaRIN fulfilled, they knew these were on a single musical route. kaRIN acquired sung spontaneously and regularly since a kid, as well as the lyrics she designed for Collide express unconscious, moving feelings. They self-released their initial cassette demonstration, The Crimson Trial, in 1995, and implemented it making use of their initial full-length record, Beneath the Epidermis, over the Re-Constriction label. The label released the remix record Distort twelve months later, like the favorites “Pandora’s Container” and “Violet’s Dance.” Compilations and singles became a solid means of appearance for the duo, who sang or done a large number of them and continued to be a studio music group. Collide self-released their following outing, Chasing the Ghost, via their very own Noiseplus Music label. The Statik-produced LP highlighted contributions from visitor music artists Tim Pierce (electric guitar), Fritz Heede (sitar), Kevin Kipnis (electric guitar), and Monica Richards (vocals). The entire year 2003 saw the discharge of Some type of Unusual, which highlighted an appearance from Device drummer Danny Carey. The remix dual record Vortex implemented, and in 2005 the music group issued a Dvd movie (Just like the Hunted) along with a concert Compact disc (Live on the Un Rey). In 2007 Statik and kaRIN collaborated with Curve’s Dean Garcia beneath the moniker the trick Get together, and from that relationship emerged a set of singles along with a full-length LP, Ultrashiver. An effective Collide record, Two Going Monster, fell in 2008, and in ’09 2009 the music group released an record of addresses, including monitors by Green Floyd, David Essex, Radiohead, and David Bowie. A fresh group of originals, Keeping track of to Zero, found its way to 2011, and in 2012 they released Bent and Broken, including assorted cover music and remixes in the last two studio room albums by famous brands cEvin Essential (Skinny Pup) and Chris Vrenna (Nine Inches Nails).
