Catcall

Catcall can be an electro-pop alias of Catherine Kelleher, an elegant vocalist from Sydney, Australia, who have initial established herself while the frontwoman from the indie rock and roll trio Kiosk. Over time in Kiosk, including a tour as the starting take action for the Gossip, Kelleher started recording single as Catcall in 2007. Collaborating chiefly with maker Crumbs (i.e., drummer Maximum Kohane from the music group Brokers of Abhorrence), she documented some demos, a few of which circulated on the web to early acclaim, and eventually made her standard saving debut in 2008 using the five-track EP Wedding anniversary. Released from the impartial label Instant Contact Recordings, the EP especially features “August,” an psychological song written around the wedding anniversary of her father’s loss of life. To get the EP, Kelleher toured internationally with her DJ, Sleater Brockman, and filmed a video for “August.” Regularly in comparison to M.We.A. and Santogold, Catcall quickly became a blogosphere preferred.
