1 of 2 organizations featuring guitarist Endre Begby (another being black metallic combo Abysmal), Carpathian Total Moon was a short-lived doom/loss of life outfit from Norway. Also including vocalist/drummer Henrik Pettersen, guitarist Jorgen Hansen, bassist Lars Lay and keyboard participant Jon F. Bakker, the band’s only recording, 1994’s Serenades in Bloodstream Minor was an extremely diverse arranged for enough time, tinkering with strings, ambient acoustics and Viking mythology in interesting methods. But poor distribution assured that it could go relatively undetected, as well as the band split up almost soon after its release.
