The origins of Massachusetts-based rap troupe the Camp start around 2001 at a University or college of Massachusetts-Amherst open mike, where DJ Hevan and MC Excetera met for the very first time. Rounded out by third and 4th members Eyes and Dese, the group was originally known as E3. Nevertheless, when Eyes graduated in 2005, he departed the group to pursue a single profession as Skipp Whitman. That same calendar year, the rest of the three found challenging battle rapper Dirt tha MC, plus they renamed themselves the Camp. The foursome’s initial providing was the street-level mixtape MAKE SPACE, released separately in 2006. Displaying influences from the Beastie Children aswell as Jedi Brain Tricks, their mix of hardcore East Coastline beats with university frat rap appreciated radio play on university campuses in Boston and the encompassing New England region.
