Cacophony was a display for the highly complex, neo-classical metal skills of acoustic guitar virtuosi Marty Friedman and Jason Becker; both produced their very own instrumental single recordings between your band’s two albums, Speed Steel Symphony (1987) and SET OFF! (1989). Cacophony officially split up in 1990 after two albums. Friedman became a member of Megadeth prior to the group documented its Corrosion In Peace record. Becker became a member of David Lee Roth’s music group for some time and performed on JUST A LITTLE Ain’t Enough. Unfortunately, Becker was identified as having ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) in 1989.
