Burlap to Cashmere

The choice CCM group Burlap to Cashmere are led with the Brooklyn-based vocal/guitar duo of cousins John Philippides and Steven Delopoulus. Uncovered by supervisor Jamison Ernest while executing in a fresh Shirt coffeehouse, the duo shortly constructed Burlap to Cashmere, recruiting guitarist Mike Ernest, bassist Roby Guarnera, keyboardist Josh Zandman, drummer Theodore Pagano, and percussionist Scott Barksdale; sketching on a massive selection of folk and globe music affects, they soon started appearing at NY venues like the IMPORTANT THING, Irving Plaza, and Tramps, and in addition built a nationwide cult pursuing on the effectiveness of their intensive tour plan. After separately issuing a live record in 1997, the next season Burlap to Cashmere agreed upon with A&M release a their major-label debut, Anybody ON THE MARKET? The band’s sophomore self-titled record, featuring the one “Create a Wall,” made an appearance in 2011.
