LA group Body of Drinking water pursue the extravagance from the Polyphonic Spree and Arcade Open fire, combining American traditional folk, theater, along with a deep admiration of gospel. As the lineup frequently develops to 11 people, the primary users are Kyle Gladden (bass); Meredith Metcalf (body organ); Meredith’s spouse, David Metcalf (acoustic guitar); and Jessie Conklin (drums) — with all sharing vocal responsibilities. Pursuing an EP, the music group self-released the full-length Ears Will Pop & Eye Will Blink independently 1000 Tongues label in July 2007. Deemed “dazzling and expansive” by Spin publication, the album loved enough crucial acclaim to pique the eye of Secretly Canadian. The record label authorized Bodies of Drinking water to its roster in November; almost a year later on, in January 2008, Ears Will Pop & Eye Will Blink was re-released to a global target audience. The group released its sophomore work, Twist Once again, on June 21, 2011.
