Big John Hamilton

An excellent Southern spirit singer, Florida’s Big John Hamilton had a tone of voice to complement his name and practically defines the idea of obscurity. Hamilton trim eight single 45s and a handful of duets with Doris Allen (including a fascinating version of Pal Mls’ “Them Adjustments”) for Florida’s Minaret Information label between 1967 and 1970, handful of which acquired any impact beyond the spot. Sundazed Information finally collected many of these about the same Compact disc in 2006 as JUST HOW MUCH Can a guy Take. The effective name tune, from 1968, sometimes turns up on spirit collections and it is a true jewel.
