Benjamin Dean Wilson’s eccentric make of indie pop mixes wry personality narratives with offbeat pop whimsy, falling somewhere within Stephin Merritt and Adam Green. Citing a wholesome span of affects from Franz Schubert to Leonard Cohen and Meats Loaf, the Oklahoma indigenous documented his debut LP, Little Talk, in a little shed beyond his Tulsa house, playing every one of the parts himself. Wilson’s exclusive music struck a chord with German label Tapete Information, which issued Little Chat internationally in Apr 2016.
