Astoria, New York-based power-pop combo 10 Minds Great was formed in 1999 by vocalist Marc Lombardo and guitarist Tommy Kohl–while Michael Borenstein was the initial in support of bassist to audition for the group, it all took an even more exhaustive search to property drummer Brian Ruler, a former person in neo-psych clothing the Anderson Council. Self-released singles including “My Summertime,” “Celebrated” and “Stepchild of the Genius” preceded 10 Mind High’s Claudius Mittendorfer and Bart Migal-produced full-length debut From Right here to Tupelo, released in Oct 2002 around the PileOn label.
