Ayers Rock and roll was a jazz-rock group formed in Melbourne, Australia, in 1973. Users included drummer Tag Kennedy, Ray Burton, Russell Dunlop, Chris Brownish, Jimmy Doyle, Doug Gallacher, Col Loughman, and Duncan McGuire. They toured the U.S. in 1975-1976, but broke up. Dark brown and Doyle reorganized beneath the name and performed as Ayers Rock and roll through the first ’80s.
