Atomic Mint

Made up of a trio from Silicon Valley in California, Atomic Mint includes a solidly crafted foundation that’s both engaging and creative. Active frontwoman Brianna Wanlass provides broad-range vocals plus electric guitar, furthermore to writing all of the lyrics; Wanlass, along with Dave Hermocillo (bass) and Amadeo Donofrio (percussion), writes the music. Furthermore, all exhibit their creative edges in painting, sketching, sculpturing, and picture taking. This creative mix of talents leads to a combined outpouring of rap, electro-funk, blues, jazz, and indie rock and roll that’s irreverent and morose, however boldly melodic and distinct. Atomic Mint trim their first demonstration record in 1999 and in July 2001, they released a debut full-length record, AN IMPROVED Mouse Trap. However the well-received album concentrates even more on Wanlass’s tone of voice and singing abilities, and much less on the entire sound from the music group, in November 2001, Misha Guiffre (previously of Manic Idea) became a member of on, adding one more coating of freshness and originality.
