Ardoin & Fontenot

Accordionist Alphonse “Bois Sec” (“dried out timber”) Ardoin (b.1914) was raised idolizing his legendary uncle, Amadie Ardoin, seeing that did fiddler Canray Fontenot (b.1922). Ardoin And Fontenot started playing together within their youngsters, though these were unrecorded before ’70s. Their music can be a still-strong representation of the first Cajun/Creole customs, with an extra burst of bluesiness in Canray’s fiddling.
