Andy Lau

Not only among Hong Kong’s most popular film superstars, Andy Lau can be a respected Cantopop singer whose profession spans several years and includes hits in both Cantonese and Mandarin. Delivered in Hong Kong on Sept 27, 1961, he set up himself as an up-and-coming superstar in 1982 using a business lead function in the TVB series Hunting, accompanied by a starring function in the 1983 tv adaptation from the traditional wuxia book The Return from the Condor Heroes. He produced his debut being a Cantopop vocalist in 1985 and, after increasing to success within this medium aswell, crossed to the Mandarin music marketplace in 1990. His performing profession peaked in reputation through the 1990s, when he released at least an record a season in each vocabulary, and his achievement continued well in to the 21st century.
