Because the duo, Alpha and Omega, Christine Woodbridge and John Sprosen have produced a method of dub, the remixing offshoot of reggae, that’s uniquely Uk. While these were in the beginning influenced by initial dub recordings by Lee “Scrape” Perry, Ruler Tubby and Augustus Pablo, Woodbridge and Sprosen possess continued to develop their own audio. “Choice” magazine described, “through minimal manipulation, (Alpha and Omega) deliver the listener to a location of great sonic serenity”. Based on “The Wire”, “The persuasive presences in the hear of the airy sonic worlds possess a harder advantage than a few of their ancestors’. “Pulse!” dug actually deeper to their description of Alpha and Omega’s audio, which they referred to as, “massively thunderous bass lines, galloping drum songs and a determination to tastefully adorn dubs with digital flutes and different digital sounding washes”. Bassist Woodbridge, among reggae’s few female instrumentalists, and keyboardist Sprosen started working collectively after meeting within the southwestern seaside town of Plymouth in Devon, Britain. Both musicians experienced previously played in a variety of reggae rings and Sprosen acquired caused the Roaring Lion AUDIO SYSTEM. Pooling their assets, Woodbridge and Sprosen spent many years documenting rhythm monitors prior to launching their debut record, Daniel within the Lion’s Den, being a cassette they released independently label, A & O, in 1990. 2 yrs afterwards, the duo agreed upon with Greensleeves, keeping the imprint A &O within the contract. Alpha and Omega possess continuing to collaborate with various other British reggae rings. The duo provided rhythm monitors for Jah Shaka and made an appearance over the indie-dance music group Flowered Up’s one, “The Reggae Melody”. The duo was associated with the Disciples on the 1997 record, Sacred Artwork of Dub; Mystical Stuff followed 3 years afterwards and Dub School of thought appeared in summer months 2001.
