Akasha

Equally admired simply by jazz fans and drum’n’bass DJs, Charles James Casey and Damian John Hand recorded some of the most diverse EPs for the nominally trip-hop/big-beat Wall structure of Sound Records. Located in Brixton, the duo debuted in early 1995 using the EP Jazadelica, the 3rd release on Wall structure of Sound. The EP gained much praise, gaining Akasha an area at 1995’s Glastonbury Celebration. There, Casey and Hands revealed their onstage incarnation, a nine-piece music group with several achieved music artists. In 1998 they released two remix EPs, and a calendar year afterwards the full-length record, Cinematique followed.
