A Girl Called Eddy

Not using into her androgynous-sounding performing name, A WOMAN Called Eddy fits the grace of Karen Carpenter as well as the brutal honesty of Aimee Mann and Beth Orton. She surfaced within the thicket of pop radio queens (Jessica Simpson, Avril Lavigne) during summer months 2004 and presented a sophisticated representation of songs on her behalf self-titled debut. A WOMAN Called Eddy never had a plan to accomplish it in this manner, however. Having currently been through a divorce and proved helpful various mediocre careers, A Girl Known as Eddy wasn’t pleased living the American lifestyle. Music have been a marvelous section of her lifestyle. A healthy dosage of Frank Sinatra and Tommy Dorsey from her parents supplied A Girl Known as Eddy, blessed Erin Moran, a getaway from growing through to the Jersey shoreline. Once her mom had passed on in the past due ’90s, A WOMAN Known as Eddy’s adulthood found a halt. Music was her therapy and once again a positive electric outlet for her to become herself easily. She soon started singing support vocals and playing keyboards for vocalist/songwriter Francis Dunnery and got the opportunity to tour THE UK. It was correct around this period that A Gal Called Eddy obtained her gender-bending nickname. In 2001, she released her debut EP, Tears AROUND City on Le Grand Magistery. Many independent labels shortly wooed her with record offers, but once again A Girl Known as Eddy discovered herself in Britain. A chance ending up in Richard Hawley (Pulp, Longpigs) led her to create store in his Sheffield abode for what would become her correct first album. A WOMAN Called Eddy made an appearance on Anti in August 2004.
