Using a ferocious attack that earned comparisons towards the Dead Boys as well as the Mirrors, Brooklyn psych-garage-punk trio Honey features vocalist/guitarist Dan Wise, drummer William Schmiechen, and bassist Cory Feierman. Smart, who utilized to play with Psychic Ills, fulfilled Feierman in the first 2010s and bonded over their distributed love from the Stooges and Spacemen 3. After some time, the pair started playing music jointly and finally added Schmiechen — who fulfilled Smart while he was using Amen Dunes — towards the fold. A set of singles, “Monk” and “Light Town,” preceded the band’s debut record, Love Can be Hard, which Wharf Kitty released in-may 2016.
