Lucia Valentini-Terrani (given birth to 1946) was probably one of the most popular Mezzo-Sopranos in her local Italy. She toured the main Opera Houses in america and Britain, and documented for RCA Victor, Deutsche Grammophon and Sony Classical. With her amazing list of qualifications and considerable skills, it’s amazing that Valentini-Terrani isn’t better known beyond Italy.
