Stephen Dodgson

Stephen Dodgson was a Uk composer, son from the symbolist painter John Dodgson, and a distant relative of Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (Lewis Carroll). He went to Berkhamsted College in Hertfordshire and Stowe College in Buckinghamshire, before providing in the Royal Navy in Globe War II. Following a war, he analyzed with Bernard Stevens in London, and signed up for the Royal University of Music to review structure with R.O. Morris, Patrick Hadley, and Antony Hopkins. Dodgson received the Cobbett Memorial Reward, two Royal Philharmonic Culture prizes, as well as the Octavia touring scholarship. From the 1950s, his profession was more developed, and he trained in the Royal University of Music, where he was teacher of structure and music theory until 1982. Dodgson was prolific generally in most styles, including orchestral, music group, chamber, choral, and vocal music.
