Produced by Candeia in the first ’60s within a movement for the revitalization of the original samba sponsored by the guts for Popular Lifestyle (CPC) from the Country wide Student Group (UNE), Os Mensageiros perform Samba recorded only 1 LP (Mensageiros perform Samba). All compositions had been by Candeia and Picolino. In 1964, the group began to perform in Cartola’s historical bar Zicartola.
