The choice rap-metal band Bolt Upright formed in Hollywood, CA and comprised singer Toriono “DJ Tory Tee” Mayek; his sibling, bassist Damian Valentine Mayek; guitarist David Aguirre; drummer Jeff “Heff” Holter; and DJ Johnny Like. Their debut LP Crimson Carpet Sindrome made an appearance around the Sony 550 imprint in early 1999.
