Jean Courtois

A Franco-Flemish composer who was simply dynamic at Cambrai Cathedral. His motet “Venite populi terrae” (Arrive people of the planet earth) was created to celebrate Charles V on his method to Ghent. Courtois was thought to rank amng the business of Josquin and Obrecht. The chansons compiled by this Renaissance composer had been have scored for four voices, five or six voices so that as periodic music. Apart from the chansons, Courtois also had written public and motets.
