Junior Pettis

b. Coleman Pettis Jnr., c.1935, Alabama, USA, d. Apr 1988. Pettis worked well under a number of pseudonyms including Daddy Rabbit, Alabama Junior, and Junior Pettis. He discovered to play acoustic guitar at age eight and relocated to Chicago in 1952. He was highly affected by Lee Jackson, with whom he worked well as tempo guitarist, and is most beneficial known for his spell dealing with Magic Slim from 1973-83. He could be noticed on many of Thin’s records, providing excellent complementary function to the innovator’s difficult playing, and he also provides periodic business lead vocals and compositions. In 1987 he produced his only recording under his personal name for the Wolf label, and he passed away of malignancy in 1988.
