Books Lie

Brooklyn’s Books Lay troll through the grimy underside from the hardcore scene, fusing the venom of T.S.O.L. using the strength of Gravity Information rings. The sound is usually eager but relentless, just like a derailed subway car careening toward the finish of the collection. Created in 2000 by four children with master’s levels and no medical health insurance — Dawn, Myles, Gemstones, and Adam — Books Lay quickly released their debut LP, Satellite television Transmissions’ It a Tool. Another recording, Weep, was released by Coalition and a 7″, I Thought Like Such a Loser Until I Recognized I Am Currently successful, was released by Level Aircraft. Hall of Popularity of Open fire, the band’s definitive collection — like the 1st recording, singles, and B-sides evoking from Swiz to Antioch Arrow to Poor Brains — was released by Level Aircraft in 2004.
