A far more rabid onstage showman than the majority of his Digital Hardcore co-workers (a significant feat of itself), David Hammer’s Shizuo task also displays the machinations of a far more diverse music-maker and a fairly humorous character. The light-speed breakbeats and punk attitude of DHR flagship take action Atari Teenage Riot are by the bucket load on Shizuo songs like “Perspiration” and “Emptiness,” but Hammer also examples Blondie’s “Center of Cup” and sound files from your Six Million Buck Man within his sonic repertoire. Elevated in Berlin, Hammer also resided in London during his formative years before conference up with Alec Empire; when Empire created Digital Hardcore Recordings and gained a great deal of money via a failed record progress, Shizuo was created for any 1995 compilation appearance on Harder compared to the Rest, alongside Empire, Atari Teenage Riot, EC8OR among others. In Feb 1997, he released the EP On top of Emotion, followed later on that year from the debut full-length Shizuo Vs. Shizor. The recording received distribution within the U.S. through Grand Royal.
