An early option to hardcore and pop-rap, the positive, message-oriented rap group Me Phi Me formed in Chicago in 1988 throughout the duo Cee Cee Tee (Chris Cuben-Tatum) and Falasz (John Michael Falasz). Agreed upon to RCA with the convert of the 10 years, Me Phi Me released several singles, among which (“Sad New Day time”) was a shock entry within the singles graphs. The group’s debut full-length, One, was, regrettably, their only recording.
