Odyssey

First formed because the Lopez Sisters (Carmen, Lillian, and Louise) in 1968, Carmen dropped away and Tony Reynolds (a Manilla native) joined to create Odyssey. After shows in NY clubs, they strike it big in 1977 using the smooth disco slashes “Local New Yorker” and “Easy Arrive, Easy Proceed.” Their music experienced a delicate Caribbean feel, even though their U.S. strikes soon dry out, they had some more hits within the U.K. prior to the group dropped apart.
