50 Foot Wave

50 Feet Wave took form following the release of Throwing Muses’ second self-titled album, in 2003. Although trio do contain two previous members of this group — tireless vocalist/songwriter/guitarist Kristin Hersh and bassist Bernard Georges — an attempt was created from the beginning to help make the parting of both groups very unique. Hersh and her bandmates (curved out by drummer Rob Ahlers) vowed to experiment 100 displays a yr and launch an EP every nine weeks. The 1st EP arrived in early 2004 and was even more immediate and hard-hitting than anything Hersh experienced helped create before. An recording, Golden Ocean, premiered a year later on, and was adopted with 2006’s Totally free Music EP — a brief collection of tunes the group offered for free on the website. Another EP entitled Power + Light made an appearance in ’09 2009, and With Like from your Men’s Room adopted in 2012. Much like Totally free Music, the group released the EPs with Innovative Commons licensing, motivating listeners to talk about the music openly. In 2016, 50 Feet Influx resurfaced on indie pop label Happy Happy Birthday if you ask me with a fresh EP titled Shower White.
