2nd Chapter of Acts

This major Christian-rock act, which began in the first ’70s, were defined with the sibling harmonies of Annie Herring, Matthew Ward, and Nelly Greisen. Their music brought complicated song buildings to inspirational music. Their best-known tune was 1974’s “Easter Tune,” which attained moderate mainstream radio airplay (and highlighted Michael Been, afterwards founder of THE DECISION, on bass). The group’s self-deprecating behaviour may have held them from reaching the renown of some contemporaries. Herring and Ward continuing to record single projects following the group disbanded in 1988.
